Values
Clarification https://bit.ly/values_clarification
1. Values clarification is a
psychotherapy technique that can often help individual increase awareness of
any values that may have a bearing on lifestyle decisions and actions. This
technique can provide an opportunity for a person to reflect on personal moral
dilemmas and allow for values to be analyzed and clarified. This process may be
helpful for self-improvement, increased well-being, and interactions with others. Therapy often provides an opportunity for values clarification.
2. Your values
represent what is important to you. What is important to you? What is your most important value and what are your top
five? How can we find out?
3. You have just
learned that there are five minutes until the end of time. What is important to
you in your last five minutes? What do you do? What do you think?
4. What happens when your values clash with someone else’s values?

Establishing
New Ground Rules for Friendship and Relationship with Self and Others
1.
People treat us exactly
how they see us treat ourselves. However you want to be treated, make sure you
are treating yourself like that.
2.

3.
People that
disrespect you and your boundaries have the privilege to be anywhere that you
are not.
4.
What other
ground rules or stand would you put into place to govern how you relate to
yourself and relate to other people?
The Human Relations Context – a Guide to Clear and Informed Self – Acceptance -The degree to which you like and accept yourself is the degree to which you can genuinely like and accept others.
